What am I doing here?

     Here I sit in my kitchen looking out the sliding glass door into the woods that line the clearing of our property.  It has been one of those mornings that you just want to crawl back into bed and pull the covers over your head and not get out until the next day.  It is dark and damp outside and the ground has not been dry since two weeks before Christmas.  I sit here wondering why I even started this blog in the first place.  I can't even concentrate long enough to finish a thought much less write about it.  Who am I kidding?  Myself, obviously!!  I have read some blogs from other people and realize that most of them have an extraordinary talent to write and take pictures.  I like to write but can't remember basic English from school to form correct sentence structure and as far as photography...well that is just something that I didn't stick with even though I love it.  My wonderful husband bought me all the equipment I need for a dark room but I never purchased the chemicals to complete it.  I have two perfect 35mm cameras that take amazing pictures but I don't deserve them as they just sit in a closet collecting dust.  I love the film photography as opposed to digital photography because I just like the excitement of not knowing what you have until the film has been developed and the fact that you cannot erase anything.  There is nothing like putting a brand new roll of film in your camera and using up the roll in two minutes with things you find crazy, interesting and beautiful, taking the film out and developing it in a room that only contains your works of art.  You can crop it, cut it and do what you want with it and in the end, it was all you.
