There are very few things that I don't like about living in Tennessee but the weather in the spring is one. I don't mind the rain and I don't mind it being breezy but when the two come together and make tornado type gusts, then it gets pretty scary. I am not too worried about being in my home when it happens because we are in a small valley and I think it would jump over us. Today my hubby and I took a trip about 20 miles west where the land was flatter and while he was test driving a new truck, I was in our car with the baby and I thought we were going to be carried away. I could barely see the vehicle in the parking spot right next to ours and it was soo dark the street lights came on and it was only 2 pm. Our friend who is a car dealer said he while he was at lunch he had to wait out the worst of it in Wal-Mart and part of the roof came off and landed in the parking lot. This is not the type of weather I am used to. I grew up in northwestern New Mexico where nothing happened except snow and I can handle that.
